Mission

Texas Cannabis PAC (TexCANN) is a non-partisan political action committee organized to promote cannabis reform in the Texas Legislature.

States across the nation continue to revisit and reform their cannabis laws, and Texas is no exception to that progress, having formally rejected the “Schedule I” status and prohibition policy of the federal government through the Texas Legislature’s passage and implementation of the Texas Compassionate Use Act, which currently allows for limited access to cannabis derivatives from plants grown in Texas.

Efforts to reform Texas cannabis laws continue statewide with activists and lawmakers leading the way. Bipartisan calls for common-sense decriminalization, legalization, medical access, and business enterprise opportunities continue to grow louder.

TexCANN seeks to gather and distribute the resources necessary to encourage and protect those lawmakers helping advance reforms of our state’s cannabis laws, including campaign contributions to members of the Texas legislature and statewide office holders.

By encouraging and protecting lawmakers willing to lead on this subject, the comprehensive political support mechanism that TexCANN provides is a crucial complement to the grassroots activism driving reform.
